Registration Overview

Primary Contact Email

The email address entered for the player will be used as the family's primary contact email. All registration updates, program information, and association communications will be sent to this address. Please ensure the email is accurate and monitored regularly throughout the hockey season.

 

New Players

Step 1

  • Create your HCR 3.0  - Spordle Account - Add the players Legal Name and Birth Information.

    Required Documentation -To verify age and residency, please upload the following documents to the player’s HCR 3.0 account under Documents:

    • Alberta Health Care Card
    • Birth Certificate or Passport
    • Proof of Residency (current utility bill showing name and address)

Step 2

  • Complete - The Shift Forward Online Parent Course
    • Course Fee : 12.08
      • Millwoods Hockey does not provide pre-registration codes; parents must cover the cost.
    • Online Length - Completion 90 minutes

Step 3

  • Volunteer Bond
    • All families are required to provide a Volunteer Bond cheque, which will remain on file while the player is registered with Millwoods Hockey.

    • The cheque will only be cashed if volunteer requirements are not fulfilled.

    • Families may choose to opt out by paying the Volunteer Opt-Out Fee during registration.

**First-Time Hockey Equipment Discount**

Families registering a player in hockey for the first time may be eligible for a $100 discount on a starter equipment package through Hockey Edmonton and United Cycle.

Returning Players

  • Complete the player registration using the Online online registration HCR 3.0 Spordle Portal
  • Please review and ensure all player and contact information is current and accurate. Make any necessary updates before proceeding with registration.
  • All players must have a valid parent certification on file. If your Respect in Sport Parent certification has expired, it can now be replaced by completing The Shift Forward parent program, Hockey Canada's new mandatory parent education course.

Transferring Players:

For players transferring from another association please Contact the Operations Manager to confirm you reside within the Southeast Zone Catchment ( Millwoods Hockey).

 

Out-of-Catchment Transfer Requests

Families requesting a transfer outside of their designated residency boundaries must follow Hockey Edmonton’s Player Movement policies and procedures.

**New for 2026-2027 Season**

  • Annual Raffle
    • Each  player is required to sell 5 raffle tickets at $20.00 each.
    • The raffle will be conducted through Online Raffle Box.
    • Draw will take place December 2026 - for more information : Click Here
  • Team Fund Add-On (Optional) – U9 to U13
    • When U9-U13 teams are formed, each team will set a budget for team-related costs, including tournaments, events, apparel, extra ice time, and any other expenses decided at the team meeting.
    • All players will be required to contribute a team cash call, which may be higher than $100.
    • As part of the Online Registration - you can choose to prepay $100.00 now as a portion of the cash call.
    • This helps have funds in the team account at the start and can be paid in installments if you select the installment option during registration.
    • The total cash call will be finalized once the team budget is set.

Trying out for Club Hockey - AA/AAA Tryouts (Elite Programs)

  • Players attending AA or AAA tryouts with sanctioned Elite clubs in Edmonton should still register with Millwoods Hockey.
  • This helps us plan and estimate the number of players returning to our Community/Competitive programs.
  • If a player is selected to a team, any applicable registration fees will be refunded.

Payment Options:

We offer multiple payment methods to ensure flexibility for families:

  • EFT / E-Transfer: Please contact the registrar for instructions.
  • Credit Card: Accepted methods include Visa, Mastercard, and Visa Debit.
    • User fee will be added at time of payment.
  • Payment Plan: A payment plan option will be available during checkout in online registration.
  • Vouchers earned through Community League activities or Millwoods/SEERA Hockey volunteer events (bingo, casinos, or 50/50) can be used toward player registration fees.
    • Voucher Submission Instructions:
    • Mail vouchers in advance to Kerri Bishop via Canada Post before beginning the registration process.
    • Mailing Address: 2256 Warry Loop SW, Edmonton, AB T6W 0N7.
    • Include the player’s name, your name, and your email with the vouchers.
    • Once received, confirmation will be emailed, and the remaining balance will be visible during online checkout.
    • No change will be provided for vouchers exceeding the total fees.

Fees & Payment Policies

To ensure smooth processing of payments, please note the following policies:

  • NSF Charge: A $35 fee will be applied to all returned cheques.
  • Refund Administration Fee: Approved refunds will incur a $75 administration fee.
  • Late Payment Fee: If you select a payment plan and miss a due date, a $50 late fee will be assessed for each missed payment.

To avoid penalties, please make arrangements with the Registrar before the payment deadline.
