August Shinny Ice 

What is Shinny Hockey?

Shinny hockey is a casual and informal game of hockey that can be played by players of various ages and skill level. To ensure the safety of all participants, players are required to be in full equipment for shinny, same as a regular season game.

How It Works

  • Select the session based on the tier played for the 2025-26 season
    • If you feel the player has developed their skills and would benefit from attending a higher tier session please email Kerri for approval.
  • Cost is $15.00 per slot.
  • Pick 2 shinny slots  per category.
  • A waitlist will be available should all slots fill up
  • Players trying out for Club teams are not permitted to register.

  • Credit Card - User fee will be applied upon check - out

  • Security Question:
    • Please use "U? shinny" - where U? represents the category you are registered in. For example "U9 shinny".
  • Password:
    • Please use "hockey2026".
  • Memo/Comment section of the E-Transfer:
    • U? Shinny - Players Name.

Refunds:

  • Refunds will only be available if you cancel at least 72 hours prior to the start of your first scheduled ice time.

U9 Shinny Information (2018-2019)

Tiers listed for each skate represents where the player played in the 2025-26 hockey season. Please register for the appropriate slot for your player.

  • U7 players moving to U9 will register in the Tier 3-5 dates. ( unless approval from the registrar is given to register in higher tier session.
  • U9 players can select up to 2 ice times when registering for shinny.
  • Players must be registered for the Winter 2026-27 hockey season( once open)  to register for shinny.
