Practice and Game Ice

Please note that Millwoods Hockey does not create game or practice schedules. All league schedules are developed and managed by Hockey Edmonton, which coordinates ice schedules for more than 500 minor hockey teams throughout Edmonton and the surrounding area.

Ice Allocation Guidelines

  • EFHL and Hockey Edmonton ice cannot be sold. Ice may only be traded or shared with another team.
  • Ice is allocated as a full sheet, regardless of whether it is listed as full-ice or half-ice.
  • If a team is unable to use an assigned practice due to a conflict that is not caused by Hockey Edmonton, replacement ice will not be provided.
  • For shared practices, if one team does not use or trade its portion of the ice, the remaining team may utilize the full ice surface.

When booking Hockey Edmonton or City of Edmonton ice, requests must be submitted through the process below to ensure your team receives the minor hockey rate.

Hockey Edmonton Ice Bookings

To request available Hockey Edmonton ice:

  1. Visit: Hockey Edmonton Available Ice 
  2. Follow the instructions to access the available ice listing.
  3. Use seeraadmin@shaw.ca as the contact email.
  4. Include your team number (e.g., MW305) with the request.

Once the booking request has been confirmed, your team will be notified and invoiced accordingly.

Please Note: All Hockey Edmonton ice bookings are non-refundable once confirmed.

City of Edmonton Ice Bookings

To request City of Edmonton ice:

  1. Review available ice through the City of Edmonton booking system:
    CITY ICE BOOKINGS AVAILABILITY
  2. Email your request to seeraadmin@shaw.ca.

Please include the following information:

  • Team Number (MWXXX)
  • Date
  • Start and End Time (include AM/PM or use 24-hour time)
  • Arena Name
  • Ice Surface (A or B, if applicable)

Once the request has been submitted and confirmed, your team will receive a confirmation email.
