Looking to Attend a Tournament or Play an Exhibition Game
- Need a permit to attend a tournament or play an exhibition game?
- All Hockey Edmonton teams must submit a permit request for any exhibition game or tournament participation during the 2025–26 season.
- All Hockey Edmonton teams are required to obtain a permit for any exhibition game or tournament, regardless of location or opponent.
- A permit must be submitted at least 72 hours in advance.
Exhibition Game Permits:
- Millwoods Hockey teams must obtain a permit if the team is hosting or attending an exhibition game, regardless of the location.
- These measures help streamline coordination and ensure compliance across all levels of play.
Travel & Tournament Permits Guidelines
- Tournament Travel Requirements :
- Any team travelling to a tournament, regardless of location, must obtain a Hockey Alberta Travel Permit.
- This ensures all teams are properly sanctioned and covered during their participation.
- Alberta-Based Tournaments Teams attending tournaments within Alberta must ensure the host team provides a valid Tournament Sanction Number. This number is essential to complete your travel permit application.
- A Sanction Number is required before a Travel Permit can be issued. Requests submitted without one will not be processed.
- Once a Travel Permit request is approved, an email will be sent to the email address included in the request form containing the official permit number.
- These measures ensure the safety and legitimacy of team activities while maintaining compliance with Hockey Alberta regulations.
