The Tigers faced off against the Penguins early Sunday morning at Tipton arena. And just like the arena it was played in, this game was a classic!
The Tigers jumped out to an early lead when Mariah Bernall sent Tyson Rook in alone, and he made no mistake. The Penguins tied it up with a goal from Jaiden Ching. Later in the first period Neo Anderson banked the puck up the boards and Tyson Rook was in alone again. He caught the goalie leaning and put the puck in on the short side. The Penguis stormed back again and tied the game up on a goal from Michael Lotzgeselle.
The second period was scoreless as both teams tightened up defensively. Kayden Krawchuk shut the door, stopping all five shots sent his way.
In the third period Michael Lotzgeselle stuck again putting the Penguins ahead by a goal. The Tigers pulled their goalie and pushed for the equalizer, but ended up losing by a score of 3-2.
Coach Lee said, "What a great game. These kids are really coming along and we should start to see some wins very soon!"
