The Tigers hit the ice early Saturday morning for a Thanksgiving weekend showdown with the Confederation Skull Crushers. The Tigers threw everything they had at the ‘Crushers, but fell short in a 12-1 result.
It was a classic case of teams being put in the wrong tier early in the season as the Skull Crushers had players number 7, 8, 9 and 10 combine for 7 goals and 7 assists. The Tigers fought bravely against tough odds.
Tyson Rook led the way with his first goal of the season, assisted by Nathaniel Hanson and Ewan Manning. Ewan battled hard, recording 2 of the Tigers’ 3 shots on goal. Tawfiq Hussain joined our seasoned blue line to clear the front of the net. Kayden Krawchuk emerged as a very strong goaltender in his first start of the year in net.
Coach Lee said, “Once again, this is a team that will be tiered higher after the exhibition round and we will never have to worry about them again. We put in a strong performance and should be proud of ourselves!”
