MW HOCKEY relies on volunteers to make the association run as well as a Stanley Cup Winning Power Play. Without the support of parents, siblings and others who invest their time, our player's experience would not be a positive one. MW HOCKEY VACANT BOARD POSITIONS

Association Treasurer
MW Hockey requires a treasurer for a 2-Year Term beginning May 2014. Person must demonstrate basic computer skills including MS OFFICE programs and internet.  Must provide proof to Executive of accounting knowledge and/or experience.

Resposibilities

• maintains accounting records and back-up data; 
• is responsible for all banking functions; 
• prepares financial statements for the last accounting period for presentation at Executive meetings; 
• maintains Board records with all current pertinent data; 
• is a signing authority; 
• presents an annual audit of current hockey season at the Annual General Meeting; 
• serves on the Budget Committee; 
• assists the Gaming Director in applications for bingo, raffle and casino licenses; 
• issues all payments for goods and services received;
• in conjunction with the Secretary, maintains the Association’s society renewal with Alberta Registries in accordance with the Societies Act, including Annual Returns and Notices of Change of Directors;
• at the conclusion of the person’s term as Treasurer turns over all Association records and resources to the incoming Treasurer.
