Shoot For Food
Nearly $5000 and 330 kilos of food was donated by the community for the Edmonton Food Bank! Way to go!
The 5th Annual Shoot For Food Charity Game held on Wednesday, February 19th at the Millwoods Rec Centre featured a Future Stars Game of Initiation Players from North Seera and Millwoods Hockey followed by a fun and furious matchup between North Seera's Atom Kodiaks and MW Hockey's Atom Bruins. Both games were fundraisers for the Edmonton Food Bank.
The Initiation game was an entertaining display of enthusiasm for the sport of hockey. The kids had a great time showing their love of the game... and Oil Kings Mascot Louie The Lion!!
End to end action with showcases of skill from both Atom teams was the highlight of the action in the later game.
The event raised nearly $5000 in monetary donations and over 325 kilograms of food!!
SEERA Hockey and Edmonton Food Bank would like to thank event organizer Mark Brown of MW Hockey and his counterpart from North Seera Hockey, Brian Petkau, for their efforts in gathering the volunteers, teams and all of the other aspects that made this another successful event.
